UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is one of the fighters in UFC history who can say that he’s never lost a fight via stoppage or decision.
Jones has a professional record of 27-1 with one no-contest but his lone loss came in a controversial disqualification in a fight he was dominating. The no-contest on his record was also originally a knockout win which was overturned after he failed a drug test.
Jon won his first 9 bouts and then ran into Mat Hammil at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights event in 2009. In that bout, Jones took Hammil to the mat twice and controlled him there throughout the first round. Jon outlanded Hammill 44-5 in total significant strikes but was disqualified after he landed a series of 12-6 elbows on his opponent and Hamill could not continue.

In the other blot of his career, Jones dominated and then knocked out Daniel Cormier in their rematch at UFC 214 in 2017. But Jones tested positive for a turinabol metabolite and the California State Athletic Commission, which had jurisdiction over the bout held at Anaheim’s Honda Center, subsequently overturned the result into a no-contest.
Jones owns the UFC record for the longest unbeaten streak which currently stands at 19 fights. His 20 wins in the light heavyweight division are the most by any fighter as is his 13 consecutive victories in the division. Jones’ 11 title defenses are tied for the most ever by a UFC champion and his 15 wins in a UFC title fight are the most ever by any fighter.
Ten out of Jones’ 27 wins were by knockout and 7, including his most recent one against Gane, came by way of submission. Meanwhile, his 10 decision wins are also the most in the history of the UFC Light Heavyweight division.
