Speaking in an interview posted on the @mmakarma Instagram page, UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley claimed that he is ‘getting rid’ of his pink Lamborghini Hurracan because it is constantly going to the car shop and he is spending a ridiculous amount of money on it.
In its place, O’Malley says he’s bought a new ride – a sprinter van which he says is cheaper and way more convenient. Sugar Sean also says that with the big space inside the van, he can utilize the commuting time to meditate.
“In my mind, this is breathwork on my way to practice. Can’t do that while you’re driving. I’ve tried, you get a little dizzy.”

It can be recalled that in 2022, O’Malley added the customized bright pink Hurracan to his growing car collection. Although Suga’s other cars have attractive colours, the pink Lambo is the flashiest in his garage and matches the personality that he is trying to portray as a mixed martial artist.
During his appearance on Michael Bisping’s ‘Believe You Me’ podcast that same year, O’Malley revealed that he matched the car to the colour of his merchandise so he could claim it as a tax deduction.
“I justified it as a tax write-off,” said O’Malley. ” I mean, I guess it is. You know, I got a certain loan because I wrapped it in the color of my [merchandise], it’s an advertisement. I dropped the watermelon Suga, the pink and green merch, [which] happens to be the same color as the Lamborghini… It’s marketing. Now, it’s just sitting in my garage. I take it out for a little spin every once in a while. But yeah, it’s f**king fun, I love it.”
O’Malley will be defending his bantamweight belt against his nemesis, Marlon “Chito” Vera, at the main event of UFC 299 this coming Saturday at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The bout will mark his first defence of the title he won by knocking out Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 in August 2023.
Vera is the only fighter to defeat O’Malley in his MMA career. Chito knocked out O’Malley in the first round of their UFC 252 bout in August 2020. It was later learned that O’Malley suffered a drop foot as a result of leg kicks.
As recently announced, O’Malley will fight Vera using customized pink shots. The UFC has ditched custom shorts but after allowing Bryce Mitchell to wear camouflage trunks in his last bout, Sugar negotiated to wear his own colour with the UFC. And as he boasted on social media, he got approval to wear it.
O’Malley has a record of 17-1 with 12 knockouts and one victory via submission.
