F1 Driver Standings 2024: Predictions & Premonitions

The Formula 1 season is in full swing and even Max Verstappen’s legendary nerve will likely have been touched after missing out on some crucial victories to his on-track rivals in recent weeks, with Lewis Hamilton back on the top spot with a famous British Grand Prix win.

It feels as though Mercedes has turned a corner since the start of the Formula 1 season, finding new pace at a crucial time of the year to take home victories in England and Austria.

Whilst Red Bull and their high-flying Dutchman are still comfortably out in first place, the misfortunes of Sergio Pérez in recent months will surely keep the Milton Keynes-based outfit on their toes as we enter the second half of this campaign.

Australian drivers Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo are enjoying mixed seasons at McLaren and Visa Cash App Red Bull, respectively, occupying 5th and 13th in the Formula 1 Driver Standings.

Predictions for 2024 according to DMARGE staff.

Luc Wiesman, Founder

Lando will win another 2 races this year. Oscar will win 1. Max and Charles will take it down to the final few races, but Max will win his fourth world championship.

Ben Esden, Sports Editor

Awesome to see Oscar Piastri secure his first Grand Prix win of his career, and for Lando Norris to take one for the team to concede his position at the top of the podium. It’ll be interesting to see how 3-time F1 champion Max Verstappen reacts now that he doesn’t appear to have the fastest car on the grid… he may need to start racing.
