Has Dana White Just Leaked The UFC 300 Match-Ups?

UFC boss Dana White’s latest ‘accident’ may have revealed the order of bouts for the PPV card of UFC 300.

UFC 300 takes place on 13 April 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. And although some fights have been confirmed for the event, several bouts, including the main event haven’t been announced yet.

Like the other centennial UFC events, UFC 300 is considered a milestone occasion. As such, the world’s biggest MMA promotion is expected to throw its biggest names into the event.

Just recently, UFC President Dana White talked to social media influencer Nina-Marie Danielle from the UFC war room, and ‘accidentally’ revealed the alleged order of bouts for UFC 300; If it is indeed the UFC 300 PPV card, then it is stacked with some serious fighting talent.

The expected BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway is on top of the list.

Gaethje won the symbolic belt by defeating Dustin Poirier at UFC 291. Next in the order is UFC women’s strawweight champion Zheili Wang who will take on Yan Xiaonan in the first-ever bout between two Chinese fighters.

Former lightweight king Charles Oliveria is pitted against No. 4 ranked Arman Tsarukyan while ex-light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka will meet Aleksandar Rakic. Moving further down, another ex-champ Holly Holm is slated to meet Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison in the latter’s UFC debut.

Meanwhile, former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling begins his quest to reclaim his belt against Calvin Kattar. The highly-touted wrestler Bo Nickal will meet Cody Brundage in the second bout of the main card while former women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade will open the PPV card against Marina Rodriguez.

An interesting note on the ‘leaked’ UFC 300 card is the absence of a main event. Many believe that Conor McGregor would be returning to the UFC soon and UFC 300 has always been believed to be the date when he would finally fight again. The initial rumour had Gaethje-Holloway as the main event but if the ‘leaked’ card is correct, then it could be The Notorious on top of the list.

McGregor has been long rumoured to fight former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler and with the UFC 300 main event still a ‘TBD’ on Dana’s supposed bout order, many believe that the fight will be the main event of the April 13 event. McGregor himself thinks so, as per his latest social media post.

Chandler immediately replied to Conor’s tweet by ‘accepting’ the fight and calling out McGregor for the ‘nth time’. Only time will tell but for sure, Dana White is teasing it.

This is not the first time that White has ‘leaked’ the fights for a big card. Most recently, White also inadvertently displayed the UFC 297 list of bouts. Two years back, he also revealed the 276 PPV card. That event was headlined by then-middleweight champ Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier.

Well, it appears that these ‘leaks’ may be a part of White’s promotional strategy. Regardless, it appears that we may finally see McGregor vs Chandler very soon.
