Conor McGregor isn’t just training for his next fight, but he’s also preparing to make his big screen debut in the latest Road House remake set to stream on Prime… and the Irish fighter has a few moves of his own to share.
2015 Miss Diva Urvashi Rautela continues to make waves in the movie industry. The 29-year-old beauty queen-turned-actress recently landed the female lead role in the upcoming movie NBK109 opposite Telegu superstar actor Nandamuri Balakrishna.
In the movie, Rautela plays a female police officer and with her role involving action scenes, possibly fight sequences, she hit up two-time UFC champion Conor McGregor to help prepare her for the grind. The beauty queen recently thanked McGregor for the help and posted a photo of her and the Irishman on Instagram.

Rautela has settled down as an actress after representing India at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. She began her modelling career at the age of 15 and won Miss Teen India in 2009. Six years later, she was crowned as Miss Diva – Miss Universe India 2015.
She made her big screen debut in 2013 in the movie Singh Saab The Great. Rautela has also appeared in notable Indian films such as Sanam Re (2016), Great Grand Masti (2016), Hate Story 4 (2018), and Pagalpanti (2019). Rautela also entered the Tamil movie industry in 2022 with a role in the movie The Legend.
While she is currently making waves in her native India, McGregor believes that Rautela will go a long way in the movie industry.
“The only Bollywood film person I Know after Shah Rukh Khan is Urvashi Rautela,” said McGregor. “Just look at her beauty and popularity. She’s an excellent and outstanding actor and an artist. She is a shining example of beauty from India and I’m sure you’ll be seeing her in more Hollywood projects soon. She has an amazing fitness report.”
McGregor is also known as Mystic Mac for his uncanny ability to predict his fights. Here’s hoping that his prediction on Rautela’s career is correct too.
Meanwhile, Mcgregor’s own movie is about to hit the silver screen as the Doug Liman action film Roadhouse starring Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal is set to premiere on March 8, 2024. In that movie, McGregor is cast as Knox, one of the movie’s antagonists. And based on the movie’s trailer, the Irishman seems a natural fit for the role.
Gyllenhaal plays the lead role of Elwood Dalton, an ex-MMA fighter who works as the head of security of a Florida bar. Dalton gets into conflict with several characters, including McGregor’s Knox as a result of his job. The movie is a remake of the 1989 film starring Patrick Swayze.
Interestingly, a remake of the original Roadhouse movie was slated for 2015 with the producers casting another former UFC champion Ronda Rousey among the movie’s main cast but for some reason, that planned movie never reached fruition.
It can be recalled that McGregor and Rousey took turns headlining one blockbuster PPV event after another during their glory years. While Rousey has since retired, McGregor continues to be on the UFC roster, although he has not fought inside the Octagon since suffering an injury in 2021.
