Australia’s Steve ‘Astro Boy’ Erceg has found success in the UFC. Not only has he won his first three bouts and earned a title shot in his fourth, he’s also grown his bank account with his UFC performances.

The 28-year-old from Perth, Western Australia currently fights for the UFC’s flyweight division. After picking up wins in each of his first three bouts, he’s vaulted into the Top 10 in the UFC flyweight rankings

On May 4, 2024, Erceg will challenge Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC flyweight belt at the main event of UFC 301. The event will be held at the Farmassi Arena in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. The bout will be the first for Astro Boy in that part of the globe and he will be facing a hostile crowd who will be cheering the hometown boy Pantoja.

Erceg was Australia’s top-ranked flyweight when he signed a multi-fight contract with the UFC in 2023. He was supposed to compete in the sixth season of Dana White’s Contender Series but encountered visa issues which pushed back his UFC debut.

Finally, Erceg fought for the first time inside the Octagon at UFC 289 where he earned a $50,000 (~ $76,400 AUD) Performance of the Night bonus.

For his next fight against Alessandro Costa at UFC 289, Erceg reportedly had a total payout of $ 54,000 (~ $82,500 AUD). As with his debut fight at UFC 289, the salaries for UFC Fight Night 87 where Erceg knocked out Matt Schnell weren’t disclosed.

Erceg then picked up another $50,000 USD (~ $76,400 AUD) bonus for Performance of the Night. Based on data, it is estimated that Erceg has made around $250,000 (~ $382,300 AUD) in three UFC bouts. Of course, the amount includes two post-fight bonuses totalling $100K (~ $152,900 AUD).

Steve Erceg’s net worth is not known. However, there’s no question that it has been boosted by his string of success in the UFC. Based on the data gathered from his previous bouts, it is estimated that Erceg has made around $250,000 (~ $382,300 AUD) in three UFC bouts.
